Fabulously broad, bright, immersive and non-fatiguing view. Sharp, detailed & excellent colour representation. Solidly built, excellent focus, good eye relief and compact form make it a pleasure to use. Can't recommend highly enough!

Wonderful binoculars

Very bright and clear, with a fantastic field of view. The focusing wheel is the best I've ever used, so easy to adjust and makes focusing a joy. Nice size and weight, not super light but feel extremely well built. Highly recommend!

Oustanding

I've been using my Kowa 8x42 BD II XD Binoculars for just over a month now and WOW! I'm already amazed at the optical quality - when you're viewing scenery through them it's like someone has turned on a light to illuminate the landscape. They're beautifully bright! The extra wide angle boasts an expansive 8.2-degree field of view, which is wonderful and makes tracking moving wildlife like birds so much easier. There is decent eye relief too and the Diopter Adjustment is very solid as are the twist-up eye cups. Overall, I'm really impressed with the build quality from the casing to the large focusing knob, which works very well. Another benefit of these binoculars is how light they are, which means I can comfortably wear them for a full days use. Overall, they are outstanding binoculars and great value for money! I am delighted with my purchase and can't recommend them highly enough!

Crystal Clear

Forking out this much on a pair of binoculars is hardly a frivolous purchase so you can be assured that we spent considerable time doing our research and investigating various binoculars. Extensive reading and advice helped us to narrow down our search to 8x or 10x magnification but when we tested out a few options we found the lower magnification suited us better as we struggled to keep a bird in the centre of view with the 10x models.

We bought them for an upcoming trip for watching wildlife, and have been trying them out at home for bird watching. They have a padded neckstrap, which is comfortable and doesn't dig in. The binoculars itself is not too heavy but feels solidly built. Wearing glasses can be a problem with binoculars because viewing angle can be wrong but these feature adjustable eye cups, which are easy to twist up and down and works well. There lens covers are joined together so there's last chance of losing them than if they were individual.

But lens covers are irrelevant if the glass they are supposed to protect are no good. And thankfully this is not the case. These offer by far the best image clarity we've experienced (and we tested some top-range models!). It is truly, truly excellent! As mentioned already, the weight is not uncomfortable, we have found them fine to carry around the neck for long walks without issue. We are absolutely delighted with our choice of binoculars and can't wait to take them away with us on our long overdue holiday!!
