Excellent quality

I bought these as an upgrade to my "lower tier" binoculars (Opticron Discovery 8x32). While the GPO is a little longer and heavier, I find that I much prefer the 10x magnification for most uses. Optically, these are far superior - the image is brighter, and clearer throughout the field. (I'm not knocking the Opticron...at over 2x the price, I expect these GPO to be better.). Under most conditions, chromatic aberration is almost impossible to detect; and, when I have caught it, it is minimal.
Overall, the GPO Passion ED 10x42 is are excellent. No doubt I will find myself "needing" to upgrade in another few years but I do question whether I'd be able to discern the advantages of £1,000+ pair of binoculars compared to these so for now I'm very happy!

Exceeded my expectations

These perform exceptionally well across the board and despite seeing in older reviews that the focus wheel is loose, I found it operates just as I want it to, very precise. Could be cheaper as they are a mid range pair, however, still does the job very nicely.

Top Quality Optics

Chose GPO after my son and daughter-in-law got their second pair. Very well made binoculars with quality optics. Comfortable in the hands and well balanced. Sturdy protective case helps to keep them safe. You can pay less, but the quality plus the warranty made this decision easy. Highly recommended.
