Overall a very good design and functionality. The ability to bluetooth it to my wife's hearing aids is fantastic! It has opened the telephonic world to her once agian.
One small annoyance is the repeated anouncement by the hand set as one uses the answering machine; " you have 55 minutes recording time left"
not really necessary every time; maybe only when there is little recording space left?

I purchased another handset as we wanted one upstairs. I was very impressed that I could transfer all of the settings and telephone numbers to the new handset by just pushing a button on the base station . A good buy.

Delivered swiftly and a good phone to combine with 3 other silver SL450 phones.
The functionality excellent, calls clear and battery good.
I’ve had a few Siemens gigasets and what is an improvement with this is the weight. Previous versions have been good but quite heavy.

The 450 is a nice handset with a good quality of sound if your hearing is below par. This was bought to replace an ancient, years old gigaset handset. No compatibility issues. The old one became unreliable and after testing, I found the aaa batteries had different charge retentions. I.e. when charged, one had 700mah capacity the other had about 20 mah. Yes 20. Perhaps I should have bought replacement batteries, but I was fed up trying to hear what was being said. The 450 handset has to be registered with your existing base. Not an issue if you don’t care about security and use the Gigaset donkey code. I changed this code years ago and had to scratch my head a little (successfully). After a firmware update (very simple, follow the menu) all handsets, new and old joined the 21st century. The less obvious difference between this set and the Bronze Age item it replaces is the 450 has a ‘mobile phone’ style battery. Not a criticism, but not to be compared with 2xAAA (if it matters)
