So happy with four phones so we don’t have to run to answer it before caller rings off. Relatively easy to link phones so they all know contacts. Large buttons so don’t need glasses to read them.

Already had a 3-gigaset set up in my previous home (which I found superior to the previous Panasonics I had been using).
So pleased with them that I added this fourth handset to cope with the layout of my new home.
Handset arrived promptly and well packaged. Easy to register with the existing base station and easy to copy the phonebook entries from an existing handset to the new one. The screens of these gigaset phones are clear and legible; the keys are clear and easy to use even for aged and shaky fingers; the sound is clear and sound levels are easily adjustable. Ideally, I'd have liked a headset socket or Bluetooth connectivity to facilitate handsfree but the speakerphone option works well so that will do in most situations.

I have had a Gigaset full set for many years and it has performed flawlessly, only requiring new NiMH batteries in the handsets every couple of years. So, when I decided to upgrade, the same brand wasn't a difficult decision. In fact I had just acquired a new internet router which also functions as a DECT base so this was just an additional handset purchase. In overall appearance, the handset is good and functionally it works perfectly well. Its simple enough (for anyone already used to answer machines and messages, menus and phonebooks) and the buttons and display are all clear. The sound quality in both directions is as good as can be expected in a telephone. And like its predecessor, it uses readily obtainable AAA NiMH batteries.
If I had one criticism (and it is minor), I'd say it doesn't "feel" like a quality thing; it doesn't "ooze" quality. In saying that, I'm comparing it to a Fritz!Fon, which in that respect is in a different league. But none of that would stop me from recommending the Gigaset.

I already had three of these handsets, and added a fourth. They communicate well with the base station, the range is good, and the design functional and quite attractive. The instructions could certainly be clearer and although the numerical keypad buttons are nice and large the handling of the four edges of the central button is tricky for clumsy or arthritic hands. The phone will block calls from all unidentified numbers, but you can't block (black list) particular numbers. I would also like to see the facility to delete all messages on the answerphone; at present you have to do each one while they are playing. Overall, though, a good buy.
