Gigaset E370H

Further to my previous review, the E370H is compatible with VoIP when using a n300 or go box 100 base unit . If not, then you may need another base to go with the E370H handset. I have the Gigaset n300 base unit.

Great Large Number Product

This product works really well for my partially sighted Mother. As usual excellent service from Ligo

Great phone to usual Gigaset standard.

I purchased this additional handset to go with my existing C430A specifically for my wife who has severe hearing loss. It was recommended by James and he was spot on. The choice of acoustic profiles together with the option to select the extra loud mode has provided a handset that she use without struggling to hear. The sound quality is excellent.

Found initial use very confusing

Instructions for use need to be clarified. To register 2nd instrument was told to press buttons on 'base' not instructing that this meant the base of the 1st instrument. At 87 I found instructions very confusing as are those for installing telephone numbers for telephone book. Perhaps you would consider making these simpler.

Almost perfect

I have had a Gigaset full set for many years and it has performed flawlessly, only requiring new NiMH batteries in the handsets every couple of years. So, when I decided to upgrade, the same brand wasn't a difficult decision. In fact I had just acquired a new internet router which also functions as a DECT base so this was just an additional handset purchase. In overall appearance, the handset is good and functionally it works perfectly well. Its simple enough (for anyone already used to answer machines and messages, menus and phonebooks) and the buttons and display are all clear. The sound quality in both directions is as good as can be expected in a telephone. And like its predecessor, it uses readily obtainable AAA NiMH batteries.

If I had one criticism (and it is minor), I'd say it doesn't "feel" like a quality thing; it doesn't "ooze" quality. In saying that, I'm comparing it to a Fritz!Fon, which in that respect is in a different league. But none of that would stop me from recommending the Gigaset.
