I have long been an admirer of Roberts Radios, but in recent years I have felt that the sound quality hasn't quite been up to the standards that it used to be. I am pleased to say that the Roberts Revival RD70 puts things right again!
This radio has a nice warm tone, with a fair amount of bass that still leaves room for the top end. I also appreciate the graphic equaliser, which includes a few presets as well as the option of tweaking it to suit your own tastes.
There are lots of ways to listen with DAB and FM as well as DAB+ for newer stations. The Bluetooth mode is perfect for podcasts and audiobooks as well as playing music from a phone or tablet. The two alarm modes are also a welcome touch as is the sleep timer which switches off the radio once you have drifted off.
My only complaint is that the screen is a bit on the small side. It is colour which is a nice touch but I find I have to put my reading glasses on to see it properly. Maybe that's just me though!
Overall this is one of the best radios I've owned in my many years of listening and one that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who appreciates great sound and design.

I've always wanted a Roberts radio but found them a bit too expensive. That all changed when I stayed in an AirBnB which had one in it- I just had to get one for myself after that! So well built and the sound has to be heard to be believed. Yet to try the Bluetooth mode apart from a test run to check it worked but I can say with certainty that the DAB radio mode sounds spectacular. Yes it's expensive but it's worth the extra pennies- you won't regret it!

I've long coveted a Roberts radio but was never able to justify the relatively high price. After being in lockdown for so long I thought that I deserved a treat.
Safe to say the RD70 is well worth every penny. It is incredibly simple to use and picks up a very good reception. The sound quality is outstanding and I'm already left wondering how I ever coped without one!
This is a fantastic looking radio and while it may be expensive, it's worth getting if you are thinking about it. I promise you won't regret it!

Bought this to replace an old knackered Roberts Revival that had finally packed in. Good to see that they are still making radios to the same high standards nowadays. Nice rich sound and very easy to use with great reception across all digital stations. The Bluetooth mode is a big upgrade from my old model as it means I can stream stuff as well. I've been using it to listen to all those podcasts that people have recommended but I never got round to listening to. Service from Ligo was great too, thanks guys.

This is a really stylish radio that's almost worth it just for the looks alone. The casing only seems to be "pleather" rather than leather but it definitely looks like the real thing. It's easy to set up and the presets make it very simple to save the stations I listen to most. The sound quality is super and it can go quite loud as well. The option for battery is is also a plus.

I know it's a bit of a cliche to say so, but they really don't make things like they used to. Nowadays tech mostly seems to be designed to be thrown away after a year or two and replaced with the latest model. It's nice to see that Roberts still believe that their products should be built to last. My dad had one of their radios back in the day that lasted my whole childhood and this one is virtually identical (apart from the screen on the top). It's made from real wood which is always a plus, and the leather covering gives it a very elegant feel. There are so many features to explore as well that I couldn't possibly run through them all here, but the main thing to mention is the sound quality which is fantastic. Really powerful audio especially for a portable radio. All in all it's great value for money!

Bought this for the wife as a birthday present- thought that it was a bit expensive for a radio but now I've seen it in action I can see why it costs more than other radios. Very solid, looks nice and really easy to set up. Station presets make it even easier to use. Good sound on music stations and BBC4 as well, and the bluetooth streaming is a nice touch. All in all a great radio!

Bought this as I wanted a DAB radio that could also play spotify and podcasts from my phone without faffing about with wires. Sound quality is top notch and gets a steady signal on DAB and FM. The Bluetooth mode also works well as its quick to connect and gets good range.
Build quality is superb as well, a good bit of weight to it which a lot of cheaper radios lack since they skimp on materials. I also bought some rechargeable AA batteries to use with it so that it can be portable as well.
The only thing that I would commenton is the aerial. It feels a little stiff and it's a different colour to the controls etc so it stands out a bit when its up.

I am so delighted with every aspect of my radio. sound quality second to none, my previous radio is ten years old but never had the depth of sound of this. The most important aspect by far was the clear and easy to follow instructions to getting the things I want from my radio. Most new things technological have instructions for young people who have grown up savvy, I am 73 and it has not stopped me moving with the times, but it was so refreshing that step by step I understood even the Bluetooth instructions. Also the print was of a size that I didn't need my magnifying glass. Thank you Roberts you have made me very happy.
