Classic British design

The Roberts Revival series is a truly timeless piece of design, and has set the standard for radios since the 1950s. The RD70 is a worthy addition to the range, made with the highest quality materials. It features a hand-crafted real wood cabinet for superior acoustics, which is then wrapped in leather for a premium finish. On top, there’s a control panel with intuitive button layout, along with a full colour screen that lets you view album artwork and other information. If you are looking for the best-looking DAB radio on the market, then look no further than the RD70.

Superb sound

While it might look like a vintage model, the Revival RD70 is right up to date when it comes to sound performance. It provides rich, warm audio that’s equally suited to both music and speech content. Whatever you like to listen to, you can be sure that it will sound crystal clear when coming out of the RD70’s high-end speaker system.

Packed with features

The Revival RD70 includes both DAB and FM modes, allowing you to easily tune in to all your favourite local stations. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to features. The RD70 also boasts built-in Bluetooth, so if you get tired of the radio, you can listen to your own choice of music. And for devices without Bluetooth, there’s also a 3.5mm jack, too. The RD70 is also a great choice for a bedside clock radio, with dual alarm modes, any-button snooze, and a sleep timer mode so you can listen to the radio as you drift off to sleep.

Perfectly portable

If you like to take your radio on the go with you, then you’ll be pleased to learn that the Revival RD70 is also fully portable. Just insert 4 AA batteries (not included), and you can enjoy up to 15 hours’ of listening anywhere you like. The carry handle makes it easy to take out and about, while its powerful speaker driver ensures the RD70 can be heard loud and clear outdoors.

Wonderful!

I got this radio as a Birthday present as I wanted a Bluetooth speaker and DAB radio. I love the design of the radio so was willing to lose slightly on sound quality compared to other similarly priced speakers. However, once the radio arrived it became apparent that not only was it absolutely stunning but the sound quality was amazing as well. Very happy with it!

Very good quality

Bought this as I wanted a DAB radio that could also play spotify and podcasts from my phone without faffing about with wires. Sound quality is top notch and gets a steady signal on DAB and FM. The Bluetooth mode also works well as its quick to connect and gets good range.

Build quality is superb as well, a good bit of weight to it which a lot of cheaper radios lack since they skimp on materials. I also bought some rechargeable AA batteries to use with it so that it can be portable as well.

The only thing that I would commenton is the aerial. It feels a little stiff and it's a different colour to the controls etc so it stands out a bit when its up.

Really nice radio!

Bought this for the wife as a birthday present- thought that it was a bit expensive for a radio but now I've seen it in action I can see why it costs more than other radios. Very solid, looks nice and really easy to set up. Station presets make it even easier to use. Good sound on music stations and BBC4 as well, and the bluetooth streaming is a nice touch. All in all a great radio!

Simply Superb

I know it's a bit of a cliche to say so, but they really don't make things like they used to. Nowadays tech mostly seems to be designed to be thrown away after a year or two and replaced with the latest model. It's nice to see that Roberts still believe that their products should be built to last. My dad had one of their radios back in the day that lasted my whole childhood and this one is virtually identical (apart from the screen on the top). It's made from real wood which is always a plus, and the leather covering gives it a very elegant feel. There are so many features to explore as well that I couldn't possibly run through them all here, but the main thing to mention is the sound quality which is fantastic. Really powerful audio especially for a portable radio. All in all it's great value for money!
