From the moment I took this radio out of the box I knew I was on to a winner. It has a decent amount of weight to it compared to other radio's I've had in the past. Definitely no risk of the cat knocking this over! It also has a little rubber bar running around the bottom to keep it steady on a surface. Sound quality is excellent too especially for a fairly small radio. Add in the lovely design with the wool casing and it makes for the perfect all round radio!

A very nice sounding radio that feels solidly built. The design is very nice as well with the wool casing which gives it a very different feel from most boring radios made nowadays. It is quite expensive but having tried a few cheaper ones I can safely say that you get what you pay for. Overall I'm very happy with the Avalon and would recommend it to anyone who wants a radio that looks good as well as sounds good.
