Product Description

Rugged Communications

Designed to withstand the varied trials of the outdoors, the Motorola TLKR T81 Hunter is an eight-channel, 121 code weatherproof walkie talkie with a range of up to 10 kilometres. Perfect for hunters, hikers, adventurers, anyone who works out doors and so many more applications. With its massive range of up to 10km (subject to terrain and conditions) the TLKR T81 is well suited to the many challenges of the outdoors and features several helpful features to make the most out of its presence, such as its hands-free operation option, lanyard, and included carrying case. We also find an extremely bright LED torch, making the T81 a mulch-functional tool.

Copy That

Using the PMR446 radio frequency range, the TLKR T81 is completely free to operate and requires no license to use or own. Included with the walkie talkie is a set of rechargeable NiMH batteries which provide the T81 with its fantastic battery life. Easily access the T81's ten call tones, or use the scan/monitor feature to see what’s up on the eight different channels. Hands-free operation and vibrate alert give the T81 an additional range of possibilities for keeping in touch on the go, on the trail or in the bush.

Stand Up To The Elements

Often hikers, hunters and outdoors-men of all varieties find themselves beset by a simple problem: electronics often don't get along well with the elements. When a device as essential as your main mode of communication on a trip fails (like a walkie talkie) the results can be devastating and potentially even life-threatening. With this importance in mind, Motorola has designed the TLKR T81 from the ground up to be truly suited to the varied challenges and stresses of a real world environment – harsh climates, rains, rough handling and whatever else confronts it.

    Not a toy

I needed a robust two-way radio to use outdoors in all weathers, and opted for the TLKR T81 Hunter. nnWorks straight out of the box, and feels like a solidly built and rugged handset. Seems to be made from high-grade plastic with ruggedised edges to absorb shocks and bumps. I haven't been able to test the full range, but the few times it's been out in flat countryisde its managed at least 3 miles. nnIt is expensive but does the job and should last for years to come so overall I'm happy with the purchase.
