Product Description

From the Manufacturer:

Great call.

Outstanding outcomes require outstanding call performance, and seamless, professional audio makes all the difference. We took the incredible call performance of our world‐leading Evolve Series and we made it even better, building in three strategically placed powerful professional microphones and adding our advanced digital chipset and latest signal processing technology. The result is outstanding call quality, every time.

It’s not just a great call. It’s the new standard of great calls.

UC‐certified means UC‐satisfied.

Satisfaction guaranteed isn’t something you hear very often these days, but we’re bringing it back; Evolve2 65 works with all leading Unified Communications (UC) platforms, for truly seamless collaboration.

If your UC platform of choice is Microsoft Teams, the Teams‐certified variant is perfectly adapted and optimized to give you the best experience with the platform.

Music so good, you can feel it.

We’ve built this headset with powerful leak‐tolerant 40mm speakers and powered it with our most advanced digital chipset ever. With Evolve, we brought you great music while you work. With Evolve2, we’re taking audio quality to a whole new level.

It’s a professional headset, but not as you know it.

Soundproof your ears.

Whether you’re working in the office or on the go, background noise can really disrupt your flow. Put on your Evolve2 65 and feel the noise around you instantly fade, as the isolating foam oval ear cushions and pioneering new angled earcup design work to effectively block out your surroundings, giving you passive noise‐cancellation like you’ve never experienced.

You could say it’s like a portable quiet room for your head.

Don’t hide when you’re in your stride.

We’ve taken our busylight to a whole new level, making it visible from any direction. The red light is automatically activated when you’re on a call or in a meeting, or you can activate it yourself at the touch of a button. So, even when you’re right in the middle of everything, your busylight will protect you from all angles, and all interruptions.

It’s like having a built‐in security guard for your concentration.

Battery for days.

Whether you’re in and out of meetings, walking the corridors or working remotely, it’s good to know your headset can handle the pace. Our advanced battery efficiency technology and that incredible little chipset have helped us to squeeze an industry‐leading 37 hours* of juice out of this powerful wireless headset.

But we’ve got you covered with the handy charging stand as well, just in case.

True comfort. True luxury.

We set out to create a wireless headset that would feel so great, you’d forget you were even wearing it. We designed the perfect shape using biometric measurements from hundreds of heads. Then we added soft memory foam cushions that mold to your ear’s natural contours. Finally, we assembled it using durable, premium materials.

Because when it comes to your headset, true luxury is forgetting it’s there.

    Freedom to talk

So this is a lot to pay for the freedom to pace around the room during conference calls. But it's worth it, and means I can do things like answer the door or grab a drink without anyone else being aware (at least while the video feed is off). For research purposes I have tried this from the bottom of the garden (15m north, 4m down, 2 internal metal-studded walls, exterior wall, kitchen appliances and metal fence between me and transmitter) and still perfect clarity while listening and talking.

The battery life is excellent - so far 18 hours continuous use during a system cutover without any problems, I usually recharge once or twice a week and I've only had it announce low battery once.

As I currently have no restrictions on USB I use the supplied dongle for the work laptop but also have it paired with the mobile (Samsung) and it just worked. Also proven with a Samsung tablet for leisure again with no issues, and a Gigaset DECT phone which although worked was so fiddly to activate from the phone I can't see me using that very often. Getting it to connect to a Linux Mint desktop was a bit more of a fiddle on the Blueman console (it sees 3 headsets for some reason) but once connected it works just fine too.

I can't try the Jabra software under Windows without getting an official warning from the IT police, but Win10 and Teams just worked fine. Skype for Business also tried to claim it and got a bit confused but we're decomissioning it soon so who cares. It also works well with all the Android audio and comms apps I've tried, but then I would expect that from Samsung devices. From experience other phones can be very peculiar when it comes to bluetooth. Even under Linux it's works nicely after the first connection with the likes of Clemantine and even other OS running in a VM.

The passive noise cancellation is just well designed padding but it's effective and I rarely hear the rest of the family while working, and it's rare for anyone else to hear them too (or they're too polite to comment). Sometimes I've noticed that it can get a little warm while wearing and it's taken a little time to adjust the fit for long-term comfort, but I can be on call for hours at a time. Having the mute active by swinging the boom out the way is good, but can be embarrassing when Teams has also applied a mute as well and I'm not looking at the screen while talking.

I previously tried a cheap £15 headset off Amazon, which only lasted a few months before giving up after two replacements. These have been in almost daily use for a month and no complaints or issues yet. And based on previous experience with LiGo if anything odd should happen I have no doubts they'd sort it quickly too

The best headset I have used

This is the best headset I have used from Jabra and worth the money.

The Bluetooth works over an extended distance round the house. I don’t have to worry about it breaking up.

The sound better than many audio headphones that I choose to listen to music on them.

With the microphone, someone said it sounds very clear like someone on the radio when using Webex.

And the battery seems to last forever. So good I bought a second set for my family to use for their Zoom/Teams meetings.
