    Well worth it!

I work from home and bought this headset to use with my laptop and iPhone, and wanted something decent as I wear it for most of the day. I've found the Jabra Evolve really comfortable and the sound quality on calls is excellent - clients have remarked how much clearer I sound. Would highly recommend!

Jabra evolve 65 ms stereo headset - review

I've waited a few weeks since I received the headset before writing this review to get a feel for how it performed day in day out. I work from home and use the headset a few hours every day. I've never really been the biggest fan of Jabra - had one of their headsets years ago and it broke soon after it was purchased. But I've been using Plantronics for a while and felt like a change and this was recommended to me by ligo - I asked the girl in customer services what she was using and it turned it she was testing the Evolve 65. I have to say that the noise-cancelling on this is far better than my last headset - nobody can hear when my kids are screaming from the other room and I can keep the radio on whilst I'm on a call without it being intrusive. I also find the headset extremely comfortable to wear and the wireless range is good for Bluetooth. I've used it a few times with my Samsung and sound quality on calls is excellent, slightly less so when listening to music but I have another set of headphones for that and I suppose it would be fine if you have nothing else. Overall I've been really impressed with the headset and can recommend for anyone who needs something that will work in a noisy environment and uses a headset regularly. Top marks!

    Excellent

This is a great quality headset and much better than others I've tried.
The lightweight design and being able to fold away the microphone when I don't have any calls is handy. Great sound quality and the microphone doesn't pick up external noise

    Top marks

Excellent sound quality and very comfortable to wear for long periods (I only use this as a work tool so sound quality is great for that). Far superior to the cheaper stereo headphones I was using before. Customer have also commented that I sound much clearer since I started using this headset!

    Comfortable, great sound & noise-cancelling

I've been using this Jabra Evolve for a couple of months now and very impressed. It spends most of the day paired with my iPhone and a laptop (using the included dongle). The headset is extremely comfortable to wear, which was important for me as I wear it for most of the day. It has a nice weight and isn't too tight. The stereo earpiece provides the great noise isolation, which means I can block out a lot of the background office noise but still hear enough of my own voice when I'm talking. The included dongle is plug-and-play, which saves an awful lot of faffing about with bluetooth pairing (which can be hit-and-miss under Windows, in my experience). Just plug the dongle in and tell the SIP client to use the audio device that appears. I run a generic SIP client (Zoiper) on the PC. Using this headset, I can easily make/answer calls from either phone. The battery life is also very good. When it does run out, you can charge it with the (included) USB cable and still use the headset normally. For use just as Bluetooth headphones (e.g. just for listening to music), the microphone can be integrated into the headband magnetically. In truth, one of the few faults I can find is that the magnetic mechanism isn't strong enough so doesn't hold onto the microphone all that well. Its a fairly minor complaint.

All in all, I'm very satisfied and would recommend.

    Pros:
    + Sound quality
    + Noise-cancelling
+ Can wear it all day comfortably

    Cons:
    - Magnet to attach mic to headband isn't always strong enough to hold it in place
    - A little on the expensive side

Set-up was a breeze - just a case of plugging in the Bluetooth dongle and turning on the headset. I bought for use at work and I've had no problems at all. Far superior to the wired one I it replaced with the added benefit of being able to get up and move around. As it's only Bluetooth the range isn't that far but I can comfortably move around the office without dropping a call and no longer have wires falling over my keyboard and getting tangled.
The sound quality is excellent and I like that the mic can be kept out the way by clicking it into the headband. The magnetic dock isn't that strong so it sometimes clicks back out but this isn't an issue.
    Excellent headset - would recommend!

    Great for the office

This headset is almost perfect- the only downside is that there's no active noise cancellation for the user, only for the person on the other end of the call- but I understand there's a more expensive Jabra headset which does this. Range and sound quality are both outstanding when using the dongle- i'm in an open plan office with dozens of other headset users all on the same frequency, and the Evolve still works perfectly. I also love how you can connect to a computer and mobile simultaneously and switch between them right away. Definitely worth the price tag here.

    Great office equipment

I mostly use this headset for work on both my PC and mobile. If you spend a lot of time on calls, then these really make a big difference. Sound quality is good and they have a decent range, I can walk around the house without losing the connection. So far no one on the other end has known that I'm on a bluetooth headset!

I have mine connected to PC and mobile at the same time. They easily last the whole day before they need recharged.
There's no real noise reduction for the user but that's to be expected at this price point.

No idea how I managed without them!

At last- a headset that meets all my requirements!

Only been using this headset for a couple of weeks but so far I'm very impressed with them.
I need to use a Bluetooth headset as part of my job every day, so safe to say I have quite a bit of experience with them. I've spent the last year or so trying to find the right headset, and in that time I've come up with the following list of requirements:
-Need to work with both PC and mobile- and be easy to switch from one to the other
-Sound should be clear in both directions, especially when there's background noise as I often use a headset while driving
-Battery life that actually lasts through the day without cutting out on you
-Needs to fit my (admittedly oversized) head
-Comfortable to wear for long periods of time- I might spend in excess of eight hours straight using a headset, so it's important that it doesn't get annoying!
I've tried so many different headsets and it has been unbelievably difficult to find one that meets all of these requirements. They might meet two or three of them, but I find that even this isn't enough. The ones with clear sound were irritating to wear all day, while the most comfortable ones had rubbish microphones. Admittedly a lot of these headsets were pretty cheap, so I decided to spend a bit more money under the maxim that you get what you pay for. After a bit of research I came across the Jabra Evolve 65 and given the good reviews I read, I decided to give them a go.
At last- a headset that actually meets all my needs! The sound quality is fantastic in both directions, they're easy to connect and switch between devices, and crucially they sit well on the head and the battery life lasts for a healthy amount of time.
The only downside is that the boom arm is a little short for my preference, as it means the mic is quite close to my mouth and so people on the other end can sometimes hear me breathing during a call. It can be clipped onto the headband when not in use, but you need to retract the boom for this. This isn't a big issue though, certainly not when compared to how good the Evolve 65 is in all other respects.
I would thoroughly recommend this headset for anyone who needs to take calls handsfree. I only wish I'd come across it sooner!
