The eagerly anticipated SL930A is Gigaset’s first ever Android based DECT phone, and fails to disappoint. Delivering the crystal-clear reliable sound quality of a landline phone as well as smartphone functionality for browsing the web, downloading apps, and greater control sets this phone apart. The eye-catching SL930A further benefits users with the signature high-quality genuine metal frame and charger of Gigaset’s premium range of cordless phones, a large 3.2” capacitive touchscreen, integrated answering machine with 55 minutes record time, and internet access via Wi-Fi.
Bringing the modern landline phone up to date; the SL930A has been designed to meet the demands of contemporary life like no other model. Running on Android OS 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) along with access to Wi-Fi and Gigaset’s HDSP sound technology, makes the SL930A ideal for IP telephony via Skype. And with auto-synchronisation of your address book, calendar and emails with your smartphone or PC via Google Cloud, this is a home phone that has been designed to make life easier.
With access to Google Play, the SL930A lets you download all your favourite apps so you can watch videos on YouTube, keep up to date with friends on Facebook, enjoy music in stereo thanks to the headset port, even expand the functionality of the handset with top home apps.
The Gigaset SL930A offers users all the benefits a DECT phone has to offer. With its user-friendly and high-quality capactive touchscreen it is easy to navigate through the intuitive menus. An integrated answering machine can be used to record up to 55 minutes of messages, or for screening calls. And with a dependable talk-time of up to 20 hours (and standby of up to 140 hours), the SL930A offers added reliability.
Gigaset are committed to doing their part for the environment, which is why their phones come complete with an energy-efficient power supply. The SL930A also features Gigaset’s ECO mode, which helps to reduce the transmitting power from the handset to the base, whilst the radiation-free ECO Mode Plus will switch off the transmitting power whenever your phone is in standby.

We already have the previous model, the Gigaset SL910A and bought this one to work alongside it. Setting up the old handset to work on the new base was easy.nnApart from the ability to go online and download apps, there's really very little between the two. I thought perhaps it would be a but more reponsive, but still lags from time to time. nnI like the quality of Gigaset products, and feel that you get what you pay.
