Please note that this is an additional handset and charging cradle to be purchased for use with an existing system. This handset cannot be plugged into a telephone line, and will not work without a base station (The Gigaset SL450A GO main unit with base is available here).

Up to 6 handsets can registered to the base of the SL450A GO. Benefits of using multiple handsets include features such as: intercom, call transfer, and conferencing facilities.

As this handset is GAP compatible, it can be registered to other Gigaset bases. For details on what features will work when using the S79H with a different model, please refer to the following compatibility guide.

    Lovley phone

    I bought this as an addition to the base station that I already had. Although I expect it would work fine as a standalone phone you would not get a lot of the brilliant features of the complete system - hence the three stars only for the handset. But it has excellent sound, it is compact and resembles the weight and feel of a smart phone. The whole system is excellent (five stars for features) but it is rather expensive!

    Good phone, annoying base and poor instructions

    Phone itself looks nice and has good sounds quality. The initial set up was very simple and fast under 15minutes. This is the kind of product experience I want...unfortunately

    My first headset had a fault. Customer service with Ligo is excellent, replacement came out in 24 hours but beware that if their engineers don't find the fault in their lab again then you are on the hook for 25% of the cost, something I haven't seen elsewhere.

    The base unit I find hugely annoying with its press and hold for registering any head or hand set but, yet absolutely no inidcator light on the base unit to tell you which mode it is in...the same button has multiple functions or any guide in the instructions for how long to hold it or how to register the handset and when the second one came out I wasted ten minutes trying to find the main menu (admittedly this may have been in the instructions) button and then had to scroll through that to find a registration option.

    I am very time poor so my patience for having my time waster in this way is little...especially when honestly there should have been a section on registering the handset as on other things, is very limited. Also quite, quite annoyed to have to ring up to find out how to register the Jabra headset - also not in either set of instructions and to find out the promised app for syncing my contacts is not currently available in the iTunes store...I am still waiting for the Gigaset developers to get this done 6 weeks on...another waste of my time to have to keep checking with customer services as I don't entirely trust them to let me know (perhaps unfairly).

    Finally and the biggest issue I would highlight is the Jabra headset...don't get this thinking you can call out on it. No you have to ask your recipient to wait whilst you work through at least 4 buttons to transfer your call to the headset...unless for me when I am working with clients...they should wait for me whilst I am charging them £x/minute!!
