Bought these to replace an old set of Panasonic phones that had finally given up the ghost. I'd seen something similar - think it was an older Gigaset model and was very impressed - and read some reviews online before ordering this. On arrival I found them very straightforward to set up, and was delighted that I could transfer over all the contacts from my iPhone (you have to download a free app, well worth it to avoid the hassle of having to input numbers by hand).nnThe sound quality is far better than the old set it replaced and the volume and handsfree quality are reliable. The handset is easy to use and to handle, menu options are coherent, and it certainly feels like a well made piece of kit. nnOverall a superb home phone (would be equally good for business - it is VoIP compatible & thinking about getting something similar for the home office), and one I would highly recommend. Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for and these are worth every penny.

Lovely phone - great range, good voice quality (even with hands free), superb functionality, and easy to synchronise the address book with your PC.

Yes it is an expensive phone but you get what you pay for. It is a high quality product that looks and feels well made, and sounds excellent. Money well spent if you ask me!

The base connects to you router and your telephone lines so that you can have two lines. You'll need a VOIP provider (we use Sipgate) so you can start using for cheap international calls. The Gigaset phone connects to it's base wirelessly by DECT, which covers a very large house easily. The handsets feel well made but are lightweight enough to carry round in a pocket, and very clear sound, so conference calls etc work well (is duplex sound). Has been very reliable. Note that not all internet providers facilitate IP (ie via internet) phones. Thus, Virgin only works if you connect via modem mode and use, say, a separate Asus router correctly configured to allow VPN and disable SIP ALG (which Virgin's built in router won't permit). Great phone!

For years and years we have always favoured BT (as the best of a poor bunch) but my most recent system had terrible range, poor sound and bad design so I decided to try this Gigaset. Having had the phone for a few months now I decided that they are so good that I should write a review. The range is phenomenal (no interference or calls drpping out unexpectedly), great sound quality, excellent volume (I'm a little hard of hearing), great features (caller display picture is super), very easyto use and a very modern and aesthetically pleasing design. I have bought another handset to cover my needs. I highly recommend them. You will not be dissappointed.

Nice quality handset - solid, comfortable in the hand and not too heavy. Excellent sound quality - noticeably better than my basic BT phone and surprisingly sstraightforward to set up.

Excellent phone as you would expect from Germany. I've had many many cordless phones but this is by far the best.

Brilliant phone. Gigaset seem to be best brand for cordless phones - we've went through a few BT and Panasonic and this is miles better. My only criticisim would be that there is no base ringer and earpiece volume not the loudest on its highest setting. Good quality phone though.
