Good little telephone very good price

I had already purchased this model as a quintet 4 or 5 years ago. After a lightning strike which seemed over the house we lost not only the broadband, a printer a control box for conservatory vents we lost the base phone from the quintet set. The replacement base plus hand set was very easy to set up and match the original 4 handsets to the base phone. It is as though nothing had happened. Very pleased with this phone system and the service from Ligo. The one feature that would be very useful would be to have the ability to transfer calls from one hand set to another. The whole point in having 5 hand sets is to place them around the house so they are convenient, however, if a call is received on one hand set but the caller wants to speak to someone near a hand set that is further away it does not seem possible. Otherwise a very good phone system. Patrick gardner

The speaker phone function also works when the phone is in the cradle charging; useful for long calls.
Thoroughly recommended for business and private use.

Best phone I have had so far

I am 74 years old needing a phone that is easy to see who is calling and easy to hear,if I do speak to them.
Many thanks to liGo for excellent advice and service.
My much younger daughter was so impressed that I ended up buying her one as well and she is equally impressed.

The legending on the keys could do with a better contrast ratio. Grey on silver is a bit difficult to see easily in some lighting. Black on Silver would be more practical. But you get used to it after a while.

- Nice quality handset - nothing to swoon over but it is solid, comfortable in the hand and not too heavy.
- Good audio quality - noticeably better than my basic Panasonic phone.
- Surprisingly simple to set up.

The Gigaset is an interesting handset - given that it comes ready for Internet telephony (i.e. VOIP - Voice Over IP).
It is also a DECT phone - and provides all of the functions you'd expect from such a phone - though at a price. The base unit can be plugged into a landline and/or Ethernet connection - depending on which service you want to use.
The base unit is really just a transmitter (though clever) and does not contain a phone/charging dock - this is a separate unit (both requiring power). This does provide a little extra flexibility in terms of how things are located. However it's not perhaps as tidy as an "all in one" unit if you want to place it all together.

I was worried about the price of this phone but sometimes in life you have to pay for quality, this is the one and only phone that is truly worth every penny. I cant fault it, it does more than I could have dreamed of.
As I work nights I needed a phone upstairs that I could turn off while I sleep, this phone goes 1 better and can be silenced between the hours of your choice, so no more being woken up by my kids friends when they call at 8am, but you can leave the other phone to ring normally downstairs.
The tones and rings are also nice, with a good choice.
When it's in the stand its a clock, (it can be an alarm clock as well). It was easy to set up, both phones talk to each other so you only have to set up one.
It has as many features as most modern mobile phones, (Calender, room monitor and many more) nothing like the horrible BT phone it replaced.
You can also set this up to 2 or it maybe 3 different eco levels to save some money on the electric.
I would recommend spending the extra on this phone, it looks and feels great & I think if you look after it, it will last for years.
I also recommend buying it from Ligo, that was an easy worry free internet experience. Well Done Ligo. Well Done Siemens (please don't change a thing)

I wanted to be able to use a bluetooth headset for the calls that I still get thru on my landline (remember what they are? still useful for international callers to save their costs). Well, I'm 100% satisfied with this choice. The menus and operation are all clear and simple, and in addition, it has physical volume control buttons on the side of the handset, (instead of forcing you to go thru some stupid front menu like many handsets do now).
