    They work well !!!!

Nice style, clear sound and really like that the answerphone is not a base for a phone. Still early days but pleased so far. Not cheap but I feel they are worth the money.
Limited number of ring tones (if that's important to you) and the instructions are not overly clear on things like quick dialing - but we got around that VERY quickly using Ligo chat facility.

    Simply the best!

I've used Siemens Gigaset phones for many years now, which is probably the best recommendation I can give. They are, in my view, the best available cordless phones. They have excellent range, very clear sound and, by and large, easy-to-use controls. The display is very clear, too. The address book is easy to set up and can be shared between the handsets quickly and easily with a couple of steps. There is just one annoying feature (for which I haven't docked a star). You can allocate a ring tone to each entry in the address book, which is fine. But you have to do that at the individual level. That is, you can't set the same ring tone to all entries with a single command. This would be very useful because then you could distinguish instantly between callers you know and everyone else. As it is, you can only do this by configuring perhaps hundreds of entries separately. The blacklist mechanism is very intuitive but not particularly useful. That isn't a design flaw. It's simply that the telephone spammers have invented ever more sophisticated work-arounds, which mostly entail spoofing 'real' phone numbers.

I also like the fact that the batteries are of the conventional rechargeable NMiH variety. This way, they can easily be replaced if necessary (there isn't any information on ligo's site that I can see but it is probably best to replace the batteries every year or so. We did this with our last set of Gigaset phones and they were still working more than 10 years later!

    PROS:
    Sound quality
    Loudspeaker
    Range
    Well made

    CONS

    Very good

I'm delighted with this medium priced land-line phone system. It works perfectly and I enjoy the fact that it's possible to copy stored numbers to all of the handsets.

I would appreciate a louder ring tone (I have programmed it to the highest setting) but, I am old and possibly my hearing is not as sharp as it used to be!

    Highly recommend!

Very good cordless phone & answering machine. A previous model, superceded by this one, was a Which? Best Buy, indeed all Siemens phones like this have been highly rated by Which? (I've been a member for 20+ years. We had a much earlier, single handset model that lasted more than a decade. Highly recommend!

    Top quality

Great phone with clear speaker phone and easy to set up menu and answer machine. Some advanced features which are nice like the full colour screen saver but maybe a bit over the top for a phone. However these Siemens Gigasets are great quality and feel nice when in use.

    Tickety boo!

I ordered these phones on a Monday afternoon and they arrived the following morning. I found them incredibly easy to set up and despite a comprehensive manual, they were self explanatory , easy to program and easy to use. The battery life is without doubt one of the best I have come across (they last for days without charging). They look sleek and the sound quality on the loudspeaker is phenomenal. Nice size for one handed operation and a nice weight. Overall, I am extremely pleased and would not hesitate to recommend these phones.

Good phone if a little flimsy...

Not as weighty and therefore feels a bit more flimsy than my previous Gigaset phone. But it's easy to use and the sound quality is excellent, so what more can you ask. Happy

    Excellent sound!

Its taking a wee while to understand all the functions on this phone set, but it worked 'out the box'.
Sound quality is a revelation in terms of clarity on calls, handsfree speaker and on recorded messages.

    Hopeful!

I seem to have gone through an inordinate number of cordless phones in the past few years. Some end up with buttons stuck or not working making it impossible to dial, others the batteries fail to charge properly, or won't reliably hold their charge even after replacing with them. I've had BT, Philips, Panasonic, and more. It was someone at ligo who recommended Siemens Gigaset (on a side note - the staff at ligo are a credit to the company, polite, knowledgeable and friendly!) so decided to give them a go.
Well after a week of using them I can happily report that the call quality seems exceptionally clear, and there's no way you'll ignore the ringer if set on full volume! The recording quality on the answering machine is very good, as is the hands-free, and the address book is really easy to set up and sync with the other handsets. When in standby the handset display shows a little analogue which is a nice touch. All in all, I'm very impressed, and would recommend it to others. Let's just see how it stands up in use, though I'm quietly confident that they will last (and come with a 2 year warranty anyway!). Oh, and the range between the base station and handset seems much better than my previous ones. So I'm really happy!
