This is a very sleek, sexy phone and base, which works brilliantly! It looks amazing, calls are clear, features are plentiful, and the loudspeaker is outstanding! Overall 5 stars - brilliant! Excellent service, and fast delivery too...

I have purchased numerous cordless phones over the past few years and have been disappointed with all of them for a variety of different reasons and a long-list of problems. Therefore, it was after much trepidation that I decided to spend more on these C570A than on any other set and I have to admit that I’ve been very impressed.
They were extremely easy to set up. The handsets are very stylish with a nice weight and feel to them. The keypad numbers are reasonably large and easy to operate, and the large backlight colour display works great and is easy to see and read in the dark.
The phone has an excellent “time control” setting, which means that it won’t ring at pre-programmed times unless it is from a phonebook contact you’ve assigned a VIP status to. It also has an impressive answer machine that can record thirty minutes of messages, and is a separate unit to the handset.
One of the best things though has to be the sound quality and volume control. There are 5 different levels for the earpiece and the loudspeaker and the clarity of callers is excellent on both.
I am very happy with these phones and hope that they will last us a number of years to come!

We’ve had some miserable luck this year with home phones. Ordered a cheap set off argos that broke within a week. Then opted for a set of BT phones from John Lewis, which stopped working after a week. Gave them the benefit of doubt and let John Lewis replace them with a new set. Low and behold same fault occurred within days (maybe faulty batch from BT?)!! Needless to say they just went back for refund. Long story short I decided to do some research before rushing into buying the next set…
It was a toss up between Gigaset and Panasonic but judging from the reviews I read Gigaset seemed to have the edge. Bit pricier but after already forking out for two sets I was prepared to spend a bit more for something that was actually going to work!
From my understanding this C570A is the newest cordless phone from Gigaset so couldn’t find much written about it online but based on feedback on other models decided to just bite the bullet as liked the look of it. Here’s my feedback on it so far:
+ Design - looks and feels like a premium quality product (miles better than the BT job we got from john lewis)
+ Sound quality- speakerphone is brilliant and the sound quality overall is better than previous phones
+ Well made- feels like it has been better made than the bt phones
+ Ringtones- nice selection though some are a bit naff
+ Answer machine- is separate from the phone so we don’t need to charge it/keep it at our phone point out in the hall (nice touch!)
+ Range- excellent coverage throughout our home and well into the garden as well.
- Constantly pressing the back button! It’s a minor annoyance but when you’re deep into the sub-menu options there is no way to get back to the home screen without repeatedly pressing the back button. Would’ve been nice if pressing the red end call button doubled up as a home button/reset that took you back to the main display.
- Quite expensive
I’d never heard of ligo before but would use them again. Knowledgeable staff and quick delivery!

I managed to get these on a good deal so although I didn't really need the 4 handsets I got the extra just to have a spare. Firstly, I should say that they were bought to replace a much older set of Panasonic phones that I needed to retire and so far I have noticed a big improvement. I deliberated for a long time between these and the new BT Premium which has better nuisance call blocking but thankfully it’s not something we’re bothered with very often so I wasn’t swayed in the end. These Gigaset Phones do have some call blocking features, which work fine for us so far.
I've noticed that although the sound quality is exceptionally clear the volume even on the loudest setting could be louder, which may not be adequate for all users. For us it is fine and the speaker phone works well.
Some further points.
1) Good looking design.
2) Exceptional sound on calls
3) Colour screen with changeable wallpaper
4) Answer machine speaker and led indicator + ringer (previous one didn't have this)
5) Can turn off display when charging - good when you've got one in the bedroom
6) Phonebook entries entered in one handset can be transmitted to all other handsets. (This was a tedious manual process on the last phone)
7) Phone entries now allow multiple numbers for each person
8) Intercom allows auto answer (set on individual handsets) and conference calls
9) Allows naming of each handset for easy identification.
10) Remote control of phone allows you to phone in to get your messages
11) Nice feature to compliment is that you can give your answer machine a phone number to call when a message is left. Good feature to have for some.
1) Somewhat lower sound volume
2) Changeable wallpaper yes but not many choices and no custom option (shame)
3) Ringtones - quite a lot to choose from but finding one that doesn't make you cringe is difficult.
4) CPU is fairly slow when searching or scrolling down phone list. They definitely could have done better here either in choice of processor or better searching algorithms.
5) Call blocking features limited when compared to BT
In conclusion and from my lengthy research there is no phone that is going to satisfy everyone's requirement (I don't think it exists!) but if you want a better than average phone with clear sound, lots of features and blocks individual numbers when needed this is it. For nuisance calls it appears the main choices are BT but frankly I find it hard to buy anything BT but that's just me.

Home phones are all much of a muchness right? Wrong! I was forced to replace my home phones after we moved house and the old ones went duff. Was all set for getting a bog standard BT set when I found ligo and gave them a call. Spoke to a lovely lady at ligo who was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and put me onto this Gigaset number. Turns out she did me a huge favour! Didn't think technology would've moved on that much but something's clearly improved in 10 years since we last bought phones. The sound quality on these is lightyears ahead of what we has before. Stylish bit of kit too so I'm in the Mrs good books! Have been using for a couple of weeks now and they're very easy to use. Have set up the call blocking so we don't get any more nuisance calls. Can also intercom between each satelite phone, which is handy. Selection of ringtones could be better for the price it was but that's a minor quibble. Overall they are excellent and would highl recommend!

Great set of phones. Seting them up is easy and to date we have had no issues. The phones are better than the BT ones they have replaced for sound quality and range.

Really pleased with these. We have a large house and farmyard, and some of our walls are half a metre thick. These phones cope easily - the range is really good and no problems with talk time (I guess you'd hope so from new batteries). We've always had BT ones before but they beep for low battery a minute or so into a call, can't cope with our walls and have poor range.

A good set of phones. Was actually looking for something a bit different, stylish or designer even. But anything a bit more unusual (not that there were many) either had a poor rating or were too expensive. How difficult is it really to make a phone that comes in a different colour or style? Anyway settled for normal boring set! Arrived in time well packaged. Not too plasticky like some, nor do they feel too lightweight. And unlike another pair I once bought there wasn't anything rattling inside! Husband set them up so really can't comment on how to do that but he didn't take long doing it. But then we haven't set it up to use all its uses. We haven't set answer phone as I find answer phone extremely annoying and beside I would probably forget to check! Have it set up just to ring in and make calls out, simple. It has a great loud ring that I can hear no matter where I am. It appears to be clear to hear whoever is calling but I suppose that also depends on what they are using to call and where they are for signal. You get a main phone and holder which goes into the main line and a spare one that just sits in a holder in another room. Both are of equal sound, weight and quality. Main number buttons are a reasonable size although a couple of other buttons are a little smaller and may be a little harder to press if you have big fingers! But then today's mobiles (the one that still have buttons) aren't exactly known for their large buttons, so if you can manage a mobile with its buttons then you should be ok. Don't know if it can be changed but it is one of those that when you answer you also have to press the green button, not just pick up and say hello, can't say I like this part as it is instinctive for me to pick up and speak, annoying to then have to press button but no great hardship really. Overall for price paid a good set of phones.

Nice style, clear sound and really like that the answerphone is not a base for a phone. Still early days but pleased so far. Not cheap but I feel they are worth the money.
Limited number of ring tones (if that's important to you) and the instructions are not overly clear on things like quick dialing - but we got around that VERY quickly using Ligo chat facility.

I've used Siemens Gigaset phones for many years now, which is probably the best recommendation I can give. They are, in my view, the best available cordless phones. They have excellent range, very clear sound and, by and large, easy-to-use controls. The display is very clear, too. The address book is easy to set up and can be shared between the handsets quickly and easily with a couple of steps. There is just one annoying feature (for which I haven't docked a star). You can allocate a ring tone to each entry in the address book, which is fine. But you have to do that at the individual level. That is, you can't set the same ring tone to all entries with a single command. This would be very useful because then you could distinguish instantly between callers you know and everyone else. As it is, you can only do this by configuring perhaps hundreds of entries separately. The blacklist mechanism is very intuitive but not particularly useful. That isn't a design flaw. It's simply that the telephone spammers have invented ever more sophisticated work-arounds, which mostly entail spoofing 'real' phone numbers.
I also like the fact that the batteries are of the conventional rechargeable NMiH variety. This way, they can easily be replaced if necessary (there isn't any information on ligo's site that I can see but it is probably best to replace the batteries every year or so. We did this with our last set of Gigaset phones and they were still working more than 10 years later!
