    Very good!

The phone is very good! The staff at ligo recommended me this model based on the criteria I provided. They were very patient and helpful in answering all my questions to make sure it had everything I was looking for and clearly know their stuff. There was a bit of a wait for delivery as they didn't have any left when I ordered (must be popular!) but it was worth it. Couldn't be happier with the phones and would certainly use ligo again.

    PROS:
    - Loud volume
    - Clear display
    - Easy to use
    - Larger style buttons
    - Call quality

    CONS:
    - User manual is too long

    Top notch!

I'd never come across Gigaset before but was looking for a new set of phones for my elderly father and came across these. Not much online in terms of reviews for them as I understand that they're a fairly new model. I did however find out after speaking with ligo that they are the replacement model for another Gigaset phone - the E550A - and was informed that there is very little difference between the two. So I did my research on the previous model and on that basis as well as it having larger sized buttons, extra loud volume, and safety features I decided to place an order.

I set them up for him. The quad consists of a main unit and 3 supplementary handsets each of which needed to be paired to the main unit which was a bit of pain as had been expecting them all to arrive as a box of 4 but was fairly easy to do. My father has been using for a few weeks now and I'm happy to report that they are every bit as good as expected. Sound quality is terrific, they are easy to use and he is able to have one in each room of his house.

Would certainly recommend Gigaset and ligo, and considering ordering a different set of Gigaset to replace our own home phones!

    Great product

Bought this with 4 handsets for mother in law, who is 91 and very deaf. Works well for her and highly recommended.

    very pleased

very pleased with the phones, work extremely well around the house and outside. They are a bit "plasticy" but doesn't affect their use. One drawback is the ring tones available, my wife is quite deaf and getting the right tone is difficult as the choice is limited.

    Good but could be better

Bought to replace a Panasonic quad set, which was great, but not hearing aid compatible.
    Pros:
The price was competitive for a hearing aid compatible phone, so good value for money.
Hearing aid compatibility seems to be working well.
It looks quite nice even with the large buttons
Has a choice of display size, which is useful for those with failing eyesight.
Good selection of ring tones which good volume.
    Cons:
    Instruction booklet is incredibly poor.
The menu systems on the phone is not really user friendly or obvious to someone who is very familiar with phone use.
The quality of sound when on hands free is not very good, and quite muffled.
The quality of message playback sound on hands free is quite muffled.
    Conclusion:
After reading the reviews on various review sites I had high hopes that this would be an excellent purchase, however I can only say it is an ok phone for the price paid, but does not live up to my expectations, particularly on the user friendly aspect and the sound quality on hands free.

    Excellent

Easy to set up and use. Has great volume options which make it very suitable if you are deaf like me. This is actually the first modern phone I can hear when it rings and can hear to talk on with clarity. When it said 'big buttons' I wondered if the handsets would be huge, but they are very neat and not too big at all.
I also like the display window; the background and text colour are good together, and the text is big enough to be able to read without putting my glasses on. You get what you pay for, and although I had seen cheaper options I am glad I didn't buy them. Very highly recommend this item.

    Excellent choice

I have used Siemens Gigaset cordless phones before and have always been very happy with them. I am especially keen on the feature which reduces RF transmission when idle between calls. This model is very clear and easy to use and set up is quite straightforward although many useful options inevitably add complexity but menus are easy to follow. Overall, excellent choice. Delivery and price from this supplier excellent.

    Just what we needed!

Both my wife and I are well into our 70s and my wife's hearing is not good. These are the main reasons we bought this model. The large numbers are also plus as is their illumination when a call comes in. Caller ID allows us to be selective in answering the call or not (this includes identifying INTERNATIONAL calls which are the main cause of annoyance). Plenty of room in the directory and time for the answer phone. Setting the phone up took a little time then practice makes perfect and we are more than content with the system.
Build quality is excellent and the battery is long life so you can carry a handset anywhere in the garden or garage for example. All-in-all this is a great system for the older generation and we recommend accordingly.

    Great Phones

We bought the phones to replace the set we had had for six years. I thought three handsets were good but four around the house is even better. We went for this model mainly for the larger touchnpads and extra volume. I don’t even have to put on my glasses now as the screen is much easier to see too! The answerphone ensures you don’t miss any messages. We used 1571 before but didn’t always remember to check it! There are still some features we haven’t used yet but they are there should we wish to do so. We got our daughter to set them up for us as we don’t find this sort of thing very easy to do but she had no trouble at all. Very easy to use once this is done. Recommend to anyone.
