Gigaset E550A Quad. 12/11/2016nHaving had this phone for 10 days, I will be keeping it.nEasy to set up but may need to re-read handbook and try again!nIt is a big improvement on my previous Panasonic.nHave not had time to evaluate battrey lifenMy one critism is that mobile numbers and many names will not go on one line. This could easily be rectified by using a condenced typeface. It would also give a larger type that would help older folk. M.RnEditn

Arrived promptly and was easy enough to set up. The phone has some very useful features for older people. I chose this model because it was recommended to me by ligo because of the big buttons and volume. My only complaint is that the instructions booklet is too long and complicated. The staff at ligo have been very kind and patient though and have helped me with some extra features. Thank you

I've had lots of cordless landline phones over the years and this is by far my favourite. The sound is good, its easy to use, inoffensive to look at and has good battery life.

We bought this system to replace an old Gigaset E49 system.
The large buttons and screen display are good. Because the displayed names and digits are so big, they often overflow the screen, which can be annoying.
Another niggle is that the button you need to press to go the loudspeaker is quite small, so you I struggle to find this after answering the phone.
The handsets seem to be well made but not as rugged as our previous E49s.
The quality of sound is better but not as good as I'd hoped - our old copper overhead line might not be helping though. The message quality seems quite poor.
I found the phones easy to set up. The new handsets were all pre-registered.
The only problem was with transferring the 150 number address book from one of the old handsets, because it didn't display information from the new base. I found a way to do it in the end and the new system has been working fine.
The battery life is very good, too.
