    Gigaset dx800a

I bought this as I work from home and wanted a single phone on my desk, and the fact it works with the Gigaset cordless phones I already had swung it. Can easily transfer calls to the landline number to one of the handsets as my business lines run on VoIP. nBeing able to link my mobile is a nice feature, as the signal in my office is a bit choppy and now I just leave it in the one spot and take the calls on the DX800.nIt does have a lot of features, and although I personally had no problems with set-up, I imagine that if you are less than technically minded you may struggle a bit. For example, the PC client and web based config are a bit confusing.nOverall, I am very happy with the phone and would recommend to others looking for a decent deskphone for VOIP and landline.n

    Fantastic business telephone

At first I was apprehensive as this is an expensive telephone but it is worth its weight in gold! The sound quality on the DX800A is exceptional and I love the display screen. Also, this telephone looks very professional in our main office.

    Excellent home business phone

If you work from home, and could do with a business number, grab a free one from SIPgate or similar, and this phone will do the rest!

    Semi-functional, awful support

Good looking, lots of features, some of which don't work. For instance, VOIP communicates over either TCP or UDP. If your VOIP provider uses UDP then you should forget this telephone. It works only over TCP. Support is useless: one day they told me it used TCP, a few days later they said it was UDP. Support are absolutely wonderful at waffle but useless at anything else.

    Good phone

A little on the pricey side but it looks great in my living room and was very easy to pair up with the Gigaset cordless handsets that I already have in my home. I haven't had the need to explore all of the features (which admittedly are more for business users) but it does everything I wanted it to

    VOIP phone for home office

Purchased this phone for my home office to test out a second VOIP line. All works fine and very useful to have in my home office. The reason why I have only given it four stars is that I had some trouble getting it to connect to the Gigaset server, but Ligo were helpful in resolving this over the phone. Sound quality is very good even though we have a less than perfect broadband connection.
