A dual-band, long-range, two-way radio system, the Midlands G7 XTR PMR446 Single Pack is ready to operate on both PMR and LDP frequencies, giving it a useful versatility, especially combined with its multi-kilometre range. The G7 is able to broadcast and receive on 8 PMR446 channels and 69 LDP channels. The radios SCAN function allows for easy browsing of whatever may be crossing the airwaves. Intuitive operations are mediated with the help of the radios easily visible back lit LCD screen and simple button configuration.

Boasting a range of up to 12 kilometres in mountainous environments, the Midlands G7 offers more than enough distance for your average applications. Of course, not everyone is in the mountains, and fortunately the manufacturer Midlands has provided exceptional data in regards to range of the G7: 12 kilometres in mountainous areas, 4 kilometres in forested areas, and 1 kilometre in cities. Utilising the radios high/low power modes, clever users can conserve battery power but still be able to do longer-distanced broadcasting should the need present itself. The radio operates on its own rechargeable battery pack or 4 AA batteries. Automatic power saving feature enables an “economy circuit” to conserve battery life.
