When it comes to business telecoms, VoIP is the obvious choice. Not only can it be much cheaper than analogue phone systems, but there are also a host of added benefits. As the industry moves towards VoIP as standard, more and more handsets are now VoIP-compatible. But how do you choose which is the best option for your business? Thankfully, liGo are here to help!
Not only are we cordless phone experts, but we also have first-hand experience of using VoIP phones in a business environment. We know what makes a great handset, so we've selected the top three options from our wide selection of VoIP phones. Read on to discover our top picks, and see which one is the best choice for your business.
First up, we have the Gigaset SL450A GO. What really sets this handset apart from the competition is its excellent build quality. Made from high-quality plastic with an aluminium frame, the SL450A is genuinely a joy to use. If you're going to be using a handset day-in, day-out, then it makes sense to opt for the very best- and that's exactly what this handset is.
Sound-wise, the Gigaset SL450A also excels. It boasts the company's trademark HD sound quality, even on speakerphone. The handset uses a frequency band twice as wide as ordinary phones, so the increase in quality is immediately noticeable from the first call. It also does a great job of picking up the user's voice nice and clearly, too. So, not only does the handset look great, but it also provides the high call quality to match.
Another entry from Gigaset, the DX800A is an excellent addition to any desk. As a dedicated deskphone, it comes with a host of handy extra features. From showing you incoming emails at-a-glance to seamlessly managing your professional contacts, this model is so much more than just a phone.
Of course, as a corded model it lacks the flexibility of a cordless handset. Luckily, though, you can actually pair up to six cordless handsets up to the DX800A. We stock a range of DX800 bundles, pairing the phone with some of our most popular additional handsets.
Lastly, the DX800- like all of Gigaset's VoIP phones- also includes three separate answering machines, with up to 55 minutes recording time between them. If you are using multiple VoIP lines- for instance, a main business number and a personal number- then this is a very useful feature. It means that you can assign a different inbox to each line, so your messages don't get jumbled together.
Last up, we have the Gigaset S850A GO. Until the C570A was released, this was our number one cordless phone. It's still at number two on our list, and one of the handsets that we use ourselves in the liGo office, so it's definitely a solid choice.
It comes with a whole host of features- in fact, it has all the same ones that you'll find in the SL450A. The build quality is still very high, and while it may lack the aluminium frame, the S850A GO is far superior to rival models from the likes of BT. Plus, it includes a spacious 55-minute answering machine and an address book with space for up to 500 contacts.
The main advantage of this model is the price. Coming in at a lower cost than the SL450A, it's therefore a smart choice if you need a large number of handsets for a busy office.
All of the options on this list offer excellent sound quality and some great features. Ultimately, your decision will come down to how much you want to spend, as well as personal preference. If you want a great cordless VoIP phone with fantastic build quality, then the Gigaset SL450A GO is our top choice. For those looking for a deskphone with some advanced features, then we would recommend the Gigaset DX800A. Finally, those in need of a reliable set of VoIP phones at an affordable price should consider the Gigaset S850A GO.
