Plantronics is set to release a new wireless headset for GAP compatible cordless phones - the C565 - ideal for enjoying the freedom of hands-free calls at home. It is essentially an updated version of the CS540 (part of Plantronics' CS500 series, and one of our top choices for office workers) and identical in appearance; lightweight and convertible for comfortable use throughout the day.
The compact design means that it comes with a slightly shorter talk time than its predecessor, the Plantronics C65, 7 hours instead of 9, however, unless you are in the habit of talking for 9 hours straight you'd be hard-pushed to notice any difference with normal day-to-day use and it comes with a charger and cradle. The range of the C565 is an impressive 120 metres and with one-headset controls for call answer/end, volume, and mute you can take the headset with you as you go about your day. As with all GAP Compatible wireless headsets, the C565 should work with the majority of DECT bases including: BT (Diverse 6000 & 7000 series), Gigaset, Panasonic, Philips (ID & CS series). You can contact Plantronics for a full list of compatible DECT phones.
