For our third rundown of the best of IFA, we take a look at some of the developments in healthcare and wellbeing products from Philips.
Today we focus on the products by Philips, who have always been at the forefront of modern health innovations. At IFA 2014 they solidified that position with several new products on show.
The first announcement was the latest update to their men's shaver range. They showcased the Shaver series 9000 which comes with an associated app for personalised grooming advice. They promise the closest ever shave from an electric razor, thanks to it's three dimensional shaving action and laser guided precision.
Next up was a new Sonicare range of toothbrushes. With updates to all their latest brands, along with some special editions of their current range (such as the Pink DiamondClean Electric Toothbrush)
One in particular development in this area was aimed at children. We all know how difficult it can be to get the kids to brush their teeth properly. Philips feels it has worked out the best solution, and that is a gaming app to make it fun for them to brush. Brushbusters is available on the app store from today.
Philips also showed their latest version of the smart air purifier. This is one of the most advanced air purifiers ever made and it too has an app for it.
It will measure the air quality inside, as well as getting up to the minute data regarding the external air quality. If it drops below a certain level of quality it will automatically kick in. The smart air purifier is also fully controllable via the associated app, this ensure that the purifier will have done is job by the time you get home.
There was much more from Philips at IFA 2014 but here is their rundown on the latest products. We will, of course, bring you reviews on all the latest technology.
More highlights of IFA 2014 coming soon.
