Jabra BT 500 v

What we think: a close call this one, but the Voyager 510 just pipped the Jabra BT 500 V. Make no mistake though, the Jabra BT 500 V is a super comfortable (one of the best on test) and boasted excellent sound.

Platronics Voyager 855

Editors rating: 8.6
Users rating: 9.2

What we think: Plantronics have made a big effort this year to enter the boalster their share of the bluetooth headset market. The 855 was certainly a contender for top blue-tooth of 2008. Its sound quality is one of (if not) the best on test. It has a nice feature too which allows you to listen to music on your headset and seemlessly switch between phone calls and music, nice. Might not be the ideal headset though for the business professional and it dropped some marks for easy of carraige.

Guide price: £50 - £60

Sennheiser BW 900

Editors rating: 8.6
Users rating: 9.2

What we think: If you own an Aston Martin, chances are that you'll have the cash to buy the Sennheiser BW 900. At almost £200 it will break the bank but it will give you tilty pleasures and you will get a bluetooth headset, like no other. Beautifully crafted, it is bigger than most bluetooth headset but has a clever microphone which adjusts the volume dependant on the background noise. It comes with accessories which make it work with virtually any office phone too (with 100metre range!). There's even an option for an extra battery so you can 'hot swap' if one runs out without losing the call. James bond stuff indeed.
