Nice handset, excellent sound, decent volume, very easy to use. Had for a few weeks now and it is far better than BT phone which died on me after 6 weeks and is now in the bin.n I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought to work with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and very impressed. Good battery life, comfortable to wear, well made, and excellent sound. The wireless range is not great but fine for moving about my home office room. Would definitely recommend! I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic headset (if a little pricey) () by: S. Martin

Good points

Easy to use, Looks good/design, Sound quality

Bad points

Expensive

If not for the price, I would have given this headset top marks!nSet-up couldn't have been more straightforward - simply plug in the Bluetooth dongle into your laptop, turn on the switch on the headset and you're away. You can connect up to 2 devices with this and pairing with my iPhone was similarly a breeze. I'm using the headset primarily at work for Skype and have experienced no issues at all. It is far better than the wired one it replaced and offers a lot more freedom. Have started using to listen to the radio as well - sound quality not quite as good when listening to music as spoken voice but on a par with some higher priced headphones I've tried and better than bog standard earbuds anyway.nI especially like that you can store the microphone out of the way onto the head strap, which clicks into place via a magnet in the strap. Overall it is an extremely comfortable headset to wear in spite of it's weight.nVery happy with this purchase - the sound is clear and precise and I've not had any complaint with people unable to hear me.nWould recommend I would recommend this to a friend!

Chines not so cheap and not very cheerful.... () by: Anonymous
Verified Purchase
Good points

Looks good/design, Truecall call blocking

Bad points

Chinese reliability, Sound quality, cheap screen, poor mic, overpriced

a cheap chinese phone which wouldnt sell on it's own merits at that price if it wasnt for the superb call blocking by Truecall (Guardian). Truecall is the best blocker by far. nnNothing else is special, tbh, and I wish I had bought the Gigaset. nnBuy cheap, and you buy twice. nnMine peggedout just out of warranty. The base unit packed in, but got extremely - and probably dangerously - hot. A fire hazard probably. nnWorst of all is the totally atrocious BT support. They just dont want to hear about any problems. nnBuy the Gigaset, or the Panasonic.

Phones work straight of the box and very easy to set up. They have all the functions most people would need and volume and sound quality is much better than the old phones they replaced. The service from ligo couldn't have been better. Helpful staff, fast delivery, and decent price. Very happy! I would recommend this to a friend!

Utterly dire product () by: Anonymous

Good points

Nice plastic

Bad points

Design, Functionality, Faults

These handsets have been dreadful from the early days. We use BT 1571 and they give 6 rings before going to answering machine. Most times, we're lucky if the handsets ring three times before cutting to answer. Sometimes they don't ring at all.nnWe don't get a lot of incoming calls, so this problem didn't really become apparent during the first 12 months or so.nnWhen the original batteries (NiCd AAA) failed after about 18 months, they were replaced but progressively, the handsets failed to charge the replacements. We've tried NiCd and NiMh batteries and none are now charged in all 5 handsets. They have to be charged externally using a separate charger and once installed in a handset, they last from several days to seconds, depending on which handset they are in. Freshly charged batteries show a full charge in 2 handsets but the same pair of batteries show as discharged in 3 other handsets. nnThe batteries have been tested thoroughly and are all good - we have at least 30 replacement batteries kicking around and all have been charged and tested on a discharge tester at different rates of discharge. All the batteries in use are good but at present, only 2 out of the 5 handsets can handle a call without cutting off in intervals varying from seconds to no more than a minute. This implies a common internal fault in all of the handsets, specifically in circuitry designed to monitor the state of charge of the batteries. nnAll the base cradles have been checked and are working properly and handsets are replaced carefully. If they are working, there's an immediate acknowledging chime on replacement but if a handset has turned off, there's a different chime after about 30 seconds, when the display then illuminates.nnFor an expensive set of DECT phones, these are absolute rubbish and I wouldn't take a replacement set of the same model, even if offered free of charge.nnThere is a cumbersome procedure when a new number is added to the memory in a handset. It is necessary to go through an individual update procedure for each of the other handsets to ensure the new number is present in each. I think I had Philips before these and they used a common memory, so a new number added through any handset became available to all the others without having to take time out to update each individually. If a number is added to a handset and the sharing process is not run, then that number is lost if a subsequent update is run from a different handset.nnOther than that, if they had been designed properly and if they worked properly, they would have been a nice system. As it stands, all I can say without using profanity, is 'nice plastic.'nnDavid Lankshear

Disappointing () by: Phil
Verified Purchase
Good points

Bad points

Sound quality, Volume, Expensive

Have been using these for over a month now and have to say I'm very disappointed in the quality. They were purchased to replace an old Panasonic set, unfortunately the sound quality of these BT phones is terrible. Not only is the outgoing volume far too low so people are struggling to hear you even with the volume turned to maximum but the tinny feedback when the other person speaks is extremely poor. Won't be buying BT again....

Rubbish! Steer clear! () by: P.C

Good points

Call blocking

Bad points

sound, Range, faulty

After a couple of months they had to go back - absolutely awful.nnFirstly off the range kept dropping out. Lucky if we got 5m let alone the 50m that BT claim it can do! Sure we have thick walls in the house but our older cordless set was fine and didn't crackle and drop out as much as this.nnAnd to top it all off the screen went black and wouldn't switch on. Has now been replaced with a Gigaset phone recommended by Andy at ligo, the s850 which is a far superior model. Sound is great and no more issues with calls dropping out.nnShould say that the call blocker function of the BT 8600 is good and worked well but doesn't make up for everything else wrong with it. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of BT!

Bought this Panasonic from ligo after I had to send back the BT Halo I ordered off amazon, which turned to our to be a complete piece of utter s&*t!! Terrible sound and awful build (despite looking very stylish). This Panasonic 260 is a far superior model and the link to mobile feature (which is what I was most interested in) works perfectly. Highly recommend and won't be buying BT again anytime soon! I would recommend this to a friend!
